Wool, honestly: what merino can and cannot do
Merino gets a lot of claims made about it. Here is what we have seen after five winters.

What it does well
It keeps you warm when it is damp, it does not hold smell, and it can be worn twice between washes.
What it does not do
It is not indestructible. Thin merino wears at the elbows, and we blend some knits with cotton for that reason.
